Returns &Exchanges

What is your return and exchange policy?

Items purchased in-store may be returned or exchanged within 90 days of purchase with a receipt.

Items must be in original packaging, in original unused condition, shelf-ready, and free of odor, dirt, smoke, or pet hair.

Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, if applicable.

What items are not returnable?

  • Roving
  • Wound yarn
  • Special orders
  • Trunk show merchandise
  • Sale or clearance merchandise

Yarn Bits and Bobs reserves the right to refuse any return or exchange.

Yarn & Dye Lots

Do you guarantee dye lots?

Please double-check colorways and dye lots before completing your purchase. We cannot guarantee availability of additional yarn once you leave the shop.

Why does my hand-dyed yarn vary in color?

Hand-dyed yarns naturally vary from skein to skein. Color variation is normal and expected.

Classes & Events

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes. All classes require advance registration. Full payment (100%) is required at the time of registration, and no spots are held without payment.

Are class fees refundable?

Class fees are non-refundable except as outlined in the Class Cancellation Policy.

What is your class cancellation policy?

Class cancellations by Yarn Bits and Bobs:

If fewer than 3 students are registered, or due to weather, instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances, a class may be cancelled.

If cancelled by Yarn Bits and Bobs, students may attend the rescheduled class or receive a full refund or transfer payment to another class.

Student cancellations:

  • 72+ hours’ notice: 100% refund
  • Between 72 and 24 hours’ notice: 50% refund as store credit
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice or no-show: no refund
Do students receive a materials discount?

Yes. Students enrolled in a class receive 10% off required materials.

Use code CLASS10 for online purchases. Discount cannot be combined with other offers.

Yarn Winding

Do you offer yarn winding?

Yarn purchased at Yarn Bits and Bobs may be wound within 30 days of verifiable purchase.

Will my yarn always be wound while I wait?

Not always. During busy times, we may ask customers to leave yarn to be wound while we assist other shoppers.

Do you wind yarn from other retailers?

No. We do not wind yarn purchased from other retailers.

Can wound yarn be returned?

Once yarn has been wound, it is not eligible for return or exchange.

Loyalty Rewards (Purls)

How do Loyalty Rewards work?

Earn 1 Purl for every $1 spent before tax and after discounts. For every 100 Purls earned, you receive a $5 reward.

Do rewards expire?

Beginning January 1, 2025, all rewards expire 6 months from the date issued.

Are there any exclusions?

Rewards cannot be redeemed on sale items, classes, or mystery items and are non-transferable with no cash value.

Create a Website Account

Creating a Yarn Bits and Bobs website account allows you to:

  • Access past purchases
  • Track Loyalty Rewards (Purls)
  • Create wish lists or registries to share with others

Accounts are created online and require a valid email address.

Special Orders

How do special orders work?

Customers may place special orders from our active vendors. Full payment is required at the time of ordering.

If the item is not regularly stocked, customers must order full bags or meet vendor minimums.

Please allow 2 to 10 weeks for arrival.

Special orders are final sale and are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Online Orders & Shipping

How long does order processing take?

Online orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days.

Do you offer shipping and local pickup?

Yes. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout, and local pickup is available during open shop hours.

Weather & Store Hours

What happens during bad weather?

We strive to maintain regular hours, but snow and life happens. Closures or early closings will be posted on our website, social media, and Google listing.

Shop Environment

Are pets allowed?

Service animals are welcome. Pets that are not service animals are not permitted.
